We got a starting date!

It has been a long wait to get water polo off the ground at Cockburn. The wait is over!

We have just received the great news from Cockburn ARC (Aquatic & Recreation Centre). They are opening doors to the community on the 19, 20 and 21 May for a peek-in for anyone interested (more details at http://www.cockburnarc.com.au/)

The centre, memberships and all activities start in the week starting 22 May. This means our first water polo sessions will take place on

Friday, 26 May 5.30pm – 7.30pm,

Sunday, 28 May 10.00am – 12.00

First sessions will be on ‘all comers – come and try’ basis. Once we establish the numbers and age groups, we will adjust and fine tune the sessions. Please expect a small charge to cover the cost of pool hire and coaching. We will provide details when we get the final word from the venue operators.

In other news – we held a terrific sausage sizzle today, Sunday 23 April, at the Cockburn Gateway Bunnings. Thanks to all of you who have dropped by and had a chat and a snag. We have generated quite a lot of interest in our community. And if you saw this person chatting you up about water polo and inviting you down to the pool for a splash with a ball and goals – you were talking to our tireless and fabulous President Natalie Turner, an old hand at the beautiful game in the water.

See you at the pool soon!
